Helsinki, Finland April 6, 2017 – Nova Instruments LLC is pleased to announce the acquisition of Stresstech Oy (http://www.stresstech.com), a Finland based company, with subsidiaries in the United States, Germany, and India.
Stresstech is the market leader in residual stress measurement solutions, from handheld sensors to robotic inspection systems. Its Barkhausen Noise equipment is commonly used to optimize and control grinding and heat treatment processes of ferromagnetic components such as camshafts, crankshafts, bearings, valves, and landing gear units. Stresstech’s X-ray diffraction based analyzers and goniometers are capable of determining retained austenite content and furthering the range of inspection applications into ceramics. And, the third residual stress measurement technique supplied by Stresstech is based on hole-drilling by Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry (ESPI) technology which can be applied to a vast range of materials including titanium and plastics.
“For more than 30 years, Stresstech has been providing non-destructive inspection instruments to the Automotive, Aerospace, and Energy industries as well as universities and research institutes. This makes Stresstech a great addition to the Nova Instruments family by complementing the range of non-destructive testing solutions supplied by our current subsidiaries Dantec Dynamics, NDT Systems, Phoenix Inspection Systems and Technology Design.” said Jean-Marc Muller, President of Nova Instruments. “We look forward to working with the employees within the Stresstech group to ensure the company continues to excel in supplying innovative quality control equipment to address both market and individual customers’ demands.
